Khuvsgul Lake is the princess of Northern Mongolia known as “Blue Pearl of Asia” among Mongolians. This lake is sacred to all Mongols and water is incredibly crystal clean and located in the northernmost province with 36km wide, 262m deep and 136km long. The highlight of the area is the ethnic reindeers’ herders called Tsaatan. This ethnic groups of Turkic origin related to the Tuvans are the most exotic and mystical people with small numbers, inhabit in the amazing beautiful taigas. Tsaatan people worship “the Eternal Blue Sky and Mother Earth” and retained an ancient, unusual culture based on shamanistic rituals and forest-based reindeer-herding.

Day 1 (Includes breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Early morning start driving to Amarbayasgalant monastery. In the morning, visits Amarbayasgalant monastery and attend the Buddhist ceremony-was originally built in 1737 by the Manchurian king Kansu, who dedicated it to the great Mongolian Buddhist and sculptor, Zanabazar. In the 1930s and were destroyed 10 of the 37 temples and statues. The monastery was restored between 1975 and 1990 with the help of UNESCO. You’re welcome to watch the 30 resident monks conduct their daily ceremonies, compared to over 2000 in 1936. Stay: Nomadic family.

Drive to Khutag Undur and on the way you will see Baibalyk city ruins. The ruins of the ancient Baibalyk city are pure evidence of the fact, that in 8th century A.D. the Uigurs. Stay: Tent.

After breakfast drive to the Great Lake “Khuvsgulâ€. The Lake is the Second fresh water lake in Asia and second large lake in Mongolia with its 1366km long and 36km wide. Stay: Ger.

Stay at the lake. Horse back riding and visit Tsaatan people. Stay: Ger.

Off driving! Free for your leisure and boat trip. Stay: Ger.

In the morning start driving forward to the Ulaanbaatar city. Stay: Ger/Tent.

Driving, on the way we will see amazing scenery of wide-open steppe to Uran mountain and Togoo mountain Natural reserve. Hiking and visit the extinct volcano of Uran mountain (1631m) and Togoo Tulga mountain (1923m) Natural Reserve. Stay: Tent.

Drive back to Ulaanbaatar.
